Information We Collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us. Depending on the request, this may include:
- your name, company or practice, role, email address and telephone number;
- delivery details for sample requests;
- project details — such as project name, type, location or country, and timings — for project and bespoke enquiries;
- business details supplied with a trade application or trade price-list request;
- the products, materials or documents you are interested in, for technical-information and retail price-list requests;
- any other information you include in a message.
This website does not offer customer accounts, online purchasing or online payment, and does not collect payment card details.
How Our Forms Work
At present, our website forms do not store or send your information themselves. When you complete a form, it prepares a message containing the details you entered, which you then choose to send to us using your own email application, or you can contact us on WhatsApp.
Your information therefore reaches us only when you send that message, through the email or WhatsApp service you choose to use. Those services handle the message under their own terms and privacy policies.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you send us to:
- respond to your enquiry and provide the information you asked for;
- prepare and send requested samples;
- consider trade applications and provide trade or retail price information;
- discuss projects, specification and bespoke work;
- keep a record of our correspondence with you.
Submitting an enquiry does not sign you up to marketing. Information sent through our enquiry forms is used only for the service communications described above.
Separately, you can ask to receive occasional news and updates by email using our email updates form. We only use your email address for this if you actively tick the consent box, and we add you to our contact list manually. You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing us or using our contact page, and we will stop sending updates. Our LinkedIn Newsletter is a separate service on LinkedIn that you can choose to follow there.
Lawful Basis
Where UK data protection law applies, we generally rely on our legitimate interests in responding to the enquiries and requests you send us, and — where you ask us to take steps before entering into an agreement, such as providing samples or project information — on those steps being necessary at your request.
Where you ask to receive news and updates by email, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to deal with your request — for example, with delivery services when sending samples — or where required by law.
How Long We Keep It
We keep your information only for as long as is reasonably necessary to deal with your enquiry, maintain our business records and meet any legal obligations. If you would like us to delete your information, please contact us.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or complete it;
- ask us to delete it, or to restrict how we use it;
- object to our use of it;
- ask for it to be transferred to you or another organisation, where applicable;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To make a request, email Will.hart@jmlnaturals.co.uk.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab).
