John Mark — Luxury Wallcoverings

Bespoke & Innovation

Created Around Your Vision.

Some interiors call for something that cannot be selected from an existing collection.

John Mark Naturals works with designers, architects and specifiers to explore bespoke wallcovering solutions developed around the individual requirements of a project.

From original artwork and custom print to selected laser work and material-led experimentation, our approach brings together design, surface and manufacturing expertise to help turn an initial concept into a considered wallcovering.

Our Bespoke Capabilities

Established Expertise. Open to Exploration.

Digital print and laser work form two of our principal bespoke capabilities, but they do not define the limit of the conversation.

If you have an idea for a wallcovering, material treatment or decorative surface, we encourage you to bring it to us. Where the concept is technically achievable, our team can explore how it might be developed.

Bespoke Digital Print

From Artwork to Wallcovering.

A bespoke wallcovering often begins with an idea rather than a finished product.

Original artwork, illustration, pattern, photography, brand-led graphics and other creative concepts can be developed for wallcovering through our digital print capabilities.

Working alongside the manufacturing expertise of John Mark Ltd, we can support the development of artwork for interior scale, considering elements such as composition, colour, repeat, proportion and the relationship between the design and its chosen surface.

The result is an opportunity to create a wallcovering that belongs specifically to the interior for which it was conceived.

John Mark Naturals draws on more than a decade of expertise through John Mark Ltd, a globally recognised manufacturer of digitally printed wallcoverings based in Leyland, Lancashire.

  • Production from a single roll through to larger commercial orders
  • A digital service developed in collaboration with HP
  • HP Latex printing technology
  • Typical lead times of 10–15 working days

The choice of substrate forms an important part of every bespoke print project. Available surfaces and their suitability for a particular design are considered individually with our team.

Lead times refer to the bespoke digital print service only.

Laser & Material

Defined by Precision.

Laser technology introduces another dimension to selected wallcovering materials, allowing pattern, line and detail to interact directly with the surface itself.

Rather than applying a printed image, laser work can explore the character of the material through precision detailing, creating surfaces where design and substrate become closely connected.

Laser work can be explored across selected Wood Veneer, Suede, Cork and Linen wallcoverings, with each concept assessed individually according to the material, design and requirements of the project.

Films show genuine laser process and material detail. Suitability is assessed individually for each material, design and project.

Material Inspiration

Beyond the Wall.

Wallcovering can inspire far more than the wall itself.

For designers and specifiers, selected materials can be considered as decorative surfaces across furniture, cabinetry and bespoke joinery, allowing texture and colour to continue through the wider interior scheme.

From drawer fronts and cabinet detailing to individually designed furniture, these examples demonstrate how wallcovering can become part of a broader material language within an interior.

These images are presented as creative inspiration. The suitability of any material and its application method should be assessed by the designer, specifier or relevant project professional for the intended use.

Start With the Idea

Bring Us the Concept.

Not every bespoke project fits neatly into a predefined category.

If you have an artwork, reference, material idea or concept that you would like to explore as a wallcovering, speak to our team.

Digital print and selected laser work are established areas of our bespoke capability, while other concepts can be considered individually.

The conversation can begin with something as simple as an image, drawing, material reference or initial idea.

Let’s Discuss Your Project.

Whether you are sourcing materials for a private residence, hospitality interior, commercial development or specification project, our team is here to help.
